Fleas

- Fleas can provide humans and pets alike with a big headache when they come in contact with one another. Fleas are about a quarter of an inch in size, using their small body to meander its way through the hair or fur of the host species they travel on. They are quite odd-looking critters, with a hard shell-like body equipped with a piercing mouth and lengthy legs that help them to jump onto prey and suck on the blood of the host.

- Fleas are capable of jumping and hitching rides on cats, dogs, and humans as they look for a warm-blooded host to feed on. They reproduce at a very fast rate, and lay their eggs as they go helping the flea to spread its population in a very short time.

- Given their fast reproductive cycle, they can provide quite a headache, finding home in your pets hair or even your rugs, carpets, and furniture. They make your pet irritated by the bites they give out, and can have negative effects on your pets’ health if not treated quickly and efficiently.

- Flea treatment requires thorough and extensive treatment in order to fully rid them from an area. If a pet is involved, we like to schedule their flea treatments on the same schedule as our flea treatment of the home or property in order to rid both the pets and the property of the flea problem simultaneously.
